MacBook Pro
The innovative brainiacs at Apple are masters of great design, and they always seem to have a tech trick or two up their sleeves. And when it comes to laptops, there's no exception. The MacBook Pro comes more tricked out than P Diddy's ride. For example: you'll find a built-in webcam so you can video chat with friends and colleagues wherever they may be and a remote control device for controlling your movies or iTunes. It's a speedy computer, too, up to five times faster than the Powerbook, according to Apple. You'll likely appreciate the comfort of a full-size keyboard that's also illuminated. That may come in handy when you find yourself on a dark airplane and you need to get that report done that you promised your boss he'd see before 9 in the morning. And since it is Intel-powered, the MacBook now allows you to run both the Mac and Windows operating systems. So for PC folk who have been fearful of giving the Mac a try, there's no longer any reason not to.
From independent research, we selected the MacBook Pro as a 3LUXE "Best Of". To see our other two Laptop selections visit our Laptop Overview.

I've been using a MacBook Pro for over a year, as a previous Windows user, I've been very happy with its ease of use and performance. The one negative, my battery completely died a couple of weeks ago. Not having the extended warranty I figured I was out of luck, but I took it in to the Genius Bar at my local Apple store anyway. They did a quick analysis of my laptop and I walked out of the store with a new battery free of charge. The whole process took less than 5 minutes and reinforced my opinion of Apple as a market leader. Not only are they an innovator, they have great customer service.
